How the daily works

Every day at midnight UTC, Goaler sets one Tic-Tac-Toe board and one Bracket for everyone. Easy from Saturday to Monday, Medium from Tuesday to Friday. You get one try at each. Your score is compared with everyone who played the same board today, and a day in a row keeps your streak alive.

Share your result and a friend gets the same board. When the day ends, the answers open for everyone, with each cell and every Bracket number explained.

Scoring

In Tic-Tac-Toe, each right answer is worth 80 points, and rarer answers earn up to 20 more. A quick finish adds a time bonus of up to 100, for 1,000 in all. In Bracket, each right pick is worth up to 50 points in the round of 16, 70 in the quarter-finals, 100 in the semi-finals and 120 in the final: full points within 3 seconds, falling to half by 10 seconds. The clock starts when you press Play daily challenge.

Streaks

Finish at least one daily challenge on a day (UTC) and your streak goes up by one. Miss a day and it starts again from zero. Your streak is kept with your device, so play on the same phone or browser to keep it going.

Sharing

When you finish, Share result sends a spoiler-free grid of coloured squares with your score and a link. Your friend plays the same board, it counts as their daily challenge too, and you both see who won once they finish.

Fair play

Everyone gets the same boards each day, so "beat X% of today's players" is a real comparison. The answers stay hidden until midnight UTC, so nobody can look them up while the day is still running.
